Context Injection Technique
Turn generic advice into specific guidance

Welcome back to Viral Examples.
Today (in 2 mins or less) we're diving into why your advice falls flat.
You tell people to "post consistently." They nod. They forget. They fail.
You tell people to "post consistently because the algorithm rewards rhythm over volume." They lean in. They remember. They act.
The difference? Context injection.
The Context Injection That Makes Advice Stick
Generic advice creates mental shrugs. Contextualized advice creates "aha" moments.
Here's the 4-part framework that transforms forgettable tips into memorable systems:
1. The Advice (What)
Start with your core recommendation. Keep it simple. One clear action.
2. The Why (Reason)
Explain the mechanism behind your advice. What psychological or technical force makes this work?
3. The When (Application)
Define the specific conditions where this advice applies. Who should use it? Under what circumstances?
4. The Limits (Boundaries)
Call out when this advice fails or backfires. This builds trust and prevents misapplication.
Example transformation:
Before: "Use storytelling in your content."
After: "Use storytelling in your content (advice) because stories trigger pattern recognition in the brain, making information 22x more memorable than facts alone (why). This works best for educational content where you need concepts to stick long-term (when). Skip stories for urgent announcements or time-sensitive updates where speed matters more than retention (limits)."
The retrofitting process for existing advice:
Take any tip you've shared. Ask yourself: Why does this work? When should someone use this? When would this backfire?
Add those answers to your original advice.
Your audience will stop nodding politely and start taking notes.
Context turns advice from "nice to know" into "need to do."
