Is A Skill Template

Why It Works

  1. Three lines of the same structure set a rhythm, so the fourth line ("Stop calling it luck") lands like a punch. Repetition makes it easy to read and easy to remember.

  2. It takes outcomes people blame on luck and calls them learnable. Readers who did the work feel seen, readers who didn't feel called out, and both reply.

The Template

[Outcome 1] is a skill.
[Outcome 2] is a skill.
[Outcome 3] is a skill.

Stop calling it [excuse].

Our Example

Writing hooks is a skill.
Closing deals is a skill.
Hiring well is a skill.

Stop calling it talent.

Dangerous Drug Template

Why It Works

  1. It names a habit readers secretly have (learning as a way to avoid doing) and labels it with an addiction metaphor. Getting caught feels uncomfortable in a way people want to share.

  2. Two sentences: the problem, then the redirect. It's short enough to repost without thinking, which is exactly what drove 1K+ reposts.

The Template

[Reward] from [comfortable activity] is a dangerous drug.

Get your [reward] from [harder, productive activity].

Our Example

Validation from likes is a dangerous drug.

Get your validation from revenue.

Tired/Wired Template

Why It Works

  1. It twists a rule everyone already knows, so the setup is free. The reader gets the joke and the insight in the same glance.

  2. The Tired/Wired frame tells readers what's outdated and what's next, so sharing it makes the poster look ahead of the curve.

The Template

Tired: [well-known old rule]
Wired: [twisted update]

Our Example

Tired: Build in public
Wired: Sell in public
