Same Time Next Week

Make your posts a weekly habit

Welcome back to Viral Examples.

Today (in 2 mins or less) we're diving into how a recurring format turns casual scrollers into people who look for you.

The Appointment Post: Turn Readers Into Regulars

Every Friday at 8am, a fractional CFO posts a teardown of one public company's pricing page.

She has done it 60 weeks in a row. On Fridays, people search her name before she posts.

Television figured this out decades ago. Same show, same slot, every week. The audience builds a habit, and habits beat algorithms.

Most creators post whatever they thought of that morning. Every post starts from zero because the reader has no reason to expect it.

1/ Pick one repeatable format

A teardown, a weekly number, a reader question answered, a swipe of the week.

It should be something you can produce in under an hour, forever.

2/ Lock the day and name it

"Friday Teardown"

"Monday Metric"

The name becomes a handle people use in DMs and comments. The day becomes a reflex.

3/ Number every edition

"Teardown #61" signals stamina. New readers see the number and assume quality.

Old readers feel part of something that keeps going.

4/ Let the format carry the weak weeks

Some Fridays your idea is average. The format still delivers because the audience shows up for the ritual.

The ritual protects you.

One-off posts rent attention. Appointment posts own a slot in someone's week.
