Why It Works

1. The “advice for my younger self” thread is almost its own genre at this point. The interesting part of this one is that it doesn’t use the same format (x lessons from a x year old) that so many others do

2. The images paint a picture an interesting mixture of relaxation (poses, hair curler, etc) in youth but also ambition and potential (Jesse Eisenberg will be forever tied to his role as Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network). It’s this combo that I think draws people into the thread’s premise
